Antonio DeVito
Antonio, Giancarlo and Patricia are the happy owners of Trattoria La Festa. They have known each other since 1978 where they worked together in many of the great restaurants of Boston. In 1985 they decided to leave the city and the stress behind them and moved to Stowe to open up Trattoria La Festa. Here in Stowe they found the perfect enviroment for their life style. They found great snow for skiing, great summers for outdoor activities, great autumns for leaf peeping. Within a few months of their arrival, they opened Trattoria La Festa and began their new life in Vermont.
Antonio DeVito Antonio is one of the chef/owners of the Trattoria. He was born, raised and professionally trained in Italy. Antonio brings to Trattoria his most treasured recipes from all the regions of Italy. These recipes have won praise and awards from the most prestigious culinary magazines in the world. Antonio’s travel stories and great energy is absolutely contagious and makes dinner at Trattoria La Festa a true experience.
Giancarlo DeVito
Giancarlo DeVito Born and raised in Italy, John has had a passion for wines since he was a young man. He has a degree in Enology (the science of wines) from Piemont Italy, a wine certificate from Harvard University, and over 25 years experience in the food and wine business.
As one of the owners of Trattoria La Festa for more than 15 years, he has traveled many times to Italy, discovering new wines which were introduced to our 100% Italian wine list. This list now has more than 250 wines from each of the 20 wine-growing regions. It is very extensive and is updated weekly to offer the best variety and wintages available.
New wines can be experienced through our "by the glass" program or during special wine tasting dinners, allowing our guests to explore the matching of wines with different foods. For the past six years Trattoria La Festa has received the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine.
Patricia Hammer
Patricia Hammer Patricia is one of the chef/owners of the trattoria. Patty is the pastry chef and gardener who brings the final touches to this fine culinary trio. She is responsible for menu development and creation of specials. Patty, a former IronWoman triathlete, has master degrees in both nutrition and exercise physiology. She is also a certified yoga instructor and great outdoor enthusiast.
